Can anyone translate the text of In Meinem Garten from Robert Schumann's Opus 29 into English for me?

The carnations in my garden, with their purple star, now all of them must fade, for you are so far away. The flames at my stove, that i liked to stand sentinel over, sank down to ash, for you are so far away. The world is spoiled (tainted) for me, no flower greets me, no star, my heart died a long time ago, for you are so far away, for you are so far away, for you are so far way, so far.
