Am i depressed or just stubborn?

I don't think you are either. I think you have a somewhat major cause of anxiety which is a symptom of depression. If all he did was ground you for doing you HOMEWORK then that is a serious problem. You are afraid, you are clueless and you don't know what to do. These are all signs of anxiety. I don't have any advice to help you get over your anxiety, but all I know is this is part of what you have. I hope that helped.
